Dear guests,

We are a hotel that also wishes to give future generations the opportunity to discover and enjoy nature with all of its biodiversity and beauty in the way that our generation can. For this reason we are interested in a sustainable method of doing business and are involved in the “Sustainable Bonn” project, a cooperation project between the City of Bonn and Tourismus & Kongress GmbH. “Sustainable Bonn” is a concept to support sustainable business concepts in the local hotel, gastronomy and catering businesses in Bonn and serves to generate worldwide sustainable development and to initiate concrete measures.
We have been official partner of Sustainable Bonn since 25 November 2008.

The following measures have been carried out in our hotel:

• Installation of a new heating pump (energy efficiency class A)
• Switch to ecological electricity provider "Naturstrom" in November 2009
• Replacement of the halogen light bulbs in the reception area and breakfast room with an energy-saving alternative
• Fitting of aerators on all sinks and showers
• Waste separation in the hotel rooms (material & rubbish)
• Introduction of the Jobticket (for public transport use) for employees
• Changeover to fair trade and organic products (coffee)
• Changeover to recyclable photocopying paper (“Blue Angel”)
• Our wine list is sourced solely from ecologically-friendly wine producers

• Guest survey on awareness and evaluation
